Stirling Square: A Rebirth

Stirling Square, the historic little square in Greenport which sits quietly overlooking Main Street, seems to finally have hit its stride with the opening of two of Scout's favorite places and one soon to be.

OPEN SPACE
Designer Joann Brancato's aptly named, Open Space, is like walking into a gallery with its well curated selection of art, photography, found objects, furniture and Joann's own unique jewelry designs.

1943 PIZZA BAR
The pint sized eatery accommodates up to 30 people with seating both inside and out and offers up a menu of tasty tidbits like marinated olives, crostini, garden greens and of course pizza. There’s a creative array of toppings for you to go crazy with. Take a seat, inside or out, get it to go or plan a party using their unique catering services.

AMERICAN BEECH
Restaurateur, Dennis McDermott, of Frisky Oyster and The Riverhead Project fame, returns to Greenport with a new venture called American Beech. A restaurant, outdoor bar and lounge area plus a five-room inn is scheduled to open sometime this July. We anxiously await its arrival.
